For a person who is raised up in a tropical country with no natural disasters, I could never imagine that tornado could actually happen so near to me. Until last month, everytime when I watched the news of earthquake and tornado or watched movies about natural disasters, I always felt it's so far away from me, and that I should never worry about that. But now I totally change my mind.
Yesterday tornado and hail hit Hugo of Washington County severely, which is like 30 minutes away from Minneapolis, as well as Coon Rapids, which is about 20 minutes away from the place I work (Brooklyn Park). While I was working yesterday, we were even asked to evacuate all the residents to hallway two times for tornado warning. Hahaha...what an experience for me...and luckily, we are safe. To read the news, click here.
The weather of this year is seriously unstable for US, e.g. tornado has hit Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arkansas; my friend in Arizona can still experience snowing until now (which is really unusual, especially for a state in the south); even in Minnesota, we had snow until the end of April in Bemidji.
Oh friends, perhaps it's time for us to do something for the earth...

Yes...after borrowing Mun Yee's GPS for one month, finally I bought the new one for myself. This is my new baby, and it's going to help me to travel to wherever I want. Wahahaha...
I miss you...I miss you...I miss you...
When can I talk to you? When can I see you? When can I eat the macaroni with spinach and scrambled egg that you love to cook again? When can I call you babi again? When can I hear you nag me again?
It has been 5 months now after you left from US to go back Malaysia. Time really flies.... How's your life in KL? You may not know, but i would definitely check your blog everytime I online. And guess what, I kept reading your last entry, over and over again. Hahaha...

...stay tough.
Time flies, I've worked for a month! Hurray...and still under probation period, so, make sure I won't get fired within three months.
Working as a personal assistant is not a high tech work but it seems to be a challenge, as I have under estimated my tasks. I thought things can be done using my brain but too bad, my brain cells ain't so helpful sometimes.
Rent a room in Pelangi D'sara, and waiting for my 1st car, I miss those days in Bemidji. Guess what, it is the most relaxing life I can ever get. Stories we shared, laughters we had, everything is so much better. Well Malaysia gives me the warmth (MELTING HOT, to be exact) and I will not feel the insecurity of financial factors. Despite of all crimes this and that, I am safe over here.
Pei See, miss you la. Hope you are surviving well, and know what you are doing. Stay conscious, and always remember, you are never alone, NEVER. (and I dak han dak han will always click the video that you made for me..wahahhaha)
KL is still busy, with everything, yes, but it is empty. Bemidji is so dead, but it has what I want.
Sometimes I wonder, what actually I am looking for? Life? What life exactly I am looking for?
The worst thing you can get is when you don't even know what you want.
I want salary or experiences or title?
Nothing comes with these all in one. Unless I am a super valuable summa cum laude (Yes Tan Ai Rene, I am talking about you.) LOL
KL life's definition of happiness if always relate with spending and buying.
Bemidji needs none of it, Bemidji needs the right type of people and you can get yuor warmth from them.
Speak about this, Sharon Tung Hsiao Han, I miss the beer session I had had with you. haha.
Y Ji that babi and the haunted Mxxxx at Birch.
Lou Dao and Yvonne..miss last summer so so muchie.
Manish, being your friend is like reading an encyclopedia, speaking with a philosopher and having a personal advisor.
Xiu Wan, you marry dun lemme know, hate you.
Grace, you look so beautiful in your wedding dress, I will always remember the days we shared in Pine Ridge.
Chee Wei, you sei chai bao.
Irene Wong, I want the photos in your digicam! Akakakaa...

Gim, I know that i am not alone. No worries, ok? Hahaha...I am glad that you like the video so much, even though that was my first trial of making a video. Tell you what, I just used two days to get the video done, but the video that I am trying to make for myself and for my family to see, I can't even finish it in one month. How la, gim... See, you are the motivation for me, even stronger than myself. Hahaha...
Gim, let's work hard together, okay?
Counting the time to go Malaysia to see you.
Went back to Bemidji last week for commencement. Honestly, I was exhausted these two weeks, the non-stop trainings, quizzes that i need to study for the med class, orientation of my second job, and the work schedule, had filled up all my times. I was like a zombie after coming back from Bemidji seriously.
But i have no regret at all to go back to Bemidji, despite the heavy workload I was having, because Bemidji is my home. Really, I can say for sure that, Bemidji is my second home. I feel so relate to Bemidji, that even KL cannot compete with it. I have a place that I call home (even though my friends are going to move out at the end of this month, and that I cannot go back to that house anymore), I have so many friends there that I even have a few that I consider as frister (friend + sister = frister, the term taught by Professor Laurie Desiderato...hahaha...), I have my sweetest memories in there, etc.
When I first entered Bemidji city limit, when I first saw the Lake Bemidji, the feeling was so strong. I could forget about everything, all I knew was that...YES...I am in Bemidji again...I am back...Yay.... And guess what, everytime when I went back there, I would definitely go to Wal-mart and The Mall, despite The Mall is so small (yet it's the only mall in Bemidji) and Wal-mart is everywhere, because that was what I used to do for my leisure time.
Talking about the commencement, I must say this, is that I had never seen so many people in Bemidji before. I had never experienced traffic jam in Bemidji, but that day I finally experienced it; I had never experienced being rejected by so many restaurants before, but I did on that day, so many restaurants were full; all the hotels were full, and you could see people everywhere, it was incredible. It's really a big day for Bemidji. Hahaha... Talking about my feeling for commencement, it was fantastic, seriously. We had to gather at Memorial Hall, and then we had to match to the hockey stadium, which was like walking around almost the whole campus before entering the indoor stadium. Oh my goodness....
Yet, when the happy moment ended, there came the sad moment, that's the truth we can never change it. Starting on that night, you could see all the people were busy packing and moving out. Seeing one person after another to leave Bemidji and went to somewhere else, like Valarie went to New Mexico to go for grad school; Chee Wei and Natalie went to Dallas; Catriona went to Houston; Coule went to New York; Jocelyn, Hui Ling, Shamini, etc went back to Malaysia for the summer; Yee Mun, Chloe, and Jamie went to the south for the summer, it was very sad. The scenes of crying, hugging, and saying good-bye were on over and over again for that few days.
People come and people go.... The beginning of every semester is the welcome season, yet at the end of every semester, it's the farewell season, this is what the international students have to face every semester, especially for BSU international students. For most of us, we only came for one year, and after one year, most of us would leave Bemidji, because Bemidji is just too small for us to be able to survive and look for job. And perhaps this is the reason why I love Bemidji, yet I would not consider myself to stay there forever, because it's just too cruel for me to experience the circle every semester. Meeting new friends in the first semester, getting to know one another better slowly, and becoming so close to one another in the second semester, and too soon, we have to separate from one another.
........
To all my friends, all the best for your future!
To BSU, despite the fact that it's a small university, but I am proud to be BSU graduate. Go Beaver...
To Bemidji, I will definitely come back again. Wait for me...

Thanks Mun Yee, Yee Mun, Phooi Man, Qian Wen, Qiao Thong, and Jocelyn for the flowers, card, the presents.

Can you see how strong the wind was?
This song is seriously a hit song in Malaysia, I can see this video in most of my friends' blogs. Even in Youtube, it hit 33K of view in just a few days. My goodness...it's crazy, man...
This is an anti-racism song, asking all of us to unite and to think yourself as Malaysian, instead of what race you are. Well...to be honest, this song is not super fantastic for me, but nonetheless, it's a good move, at the very least, this song has successfully reached to many people, and the debate is going hit. .
......
I miss Malaysia...
。。haiz....

Well...I have started the med training since Monday, and it will be going on throughout the month of May. The lecture is boring, as always. But the thing is that we have to go back and revise after every class, as we will have quiz every class. You know, when i started to pick up the notes and study, i felt like i was back to the student life, study late at night with snacks. Haha...
Actually, this training is not very hard for me, as a lot of the materials covered in class, I have learned it in Psychology classes and St. john.
Just feeling good to pick up books again...Hahaha...
Arhhh....having a really bad mood today, have no idea why. Everything is just not right... Arhhhh....
feeling very tired. I am sick with my sleeping problem. It has been years now and I still can't figure out how to make myself to sleep soundly at night. One word to describe my feeling ---- sian....

Another nice movie to recommend --- Will Smith "I am Legend."
